# API access overview

> An overview of accessing the Uplift API

Uplift offers APIs to fetch, update, and work with data and Uplift capabilities programmatically. These include:

* A **Data API** for fetching metrics and assessment data
* An **Athletes API** for creating and managing athlete profiles
* A **Capture API** (currently in experimental beta) for uploading videos for analysis.
